Hello, Everyone,
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Habitat for Humanity El Salvador has cancelled all visitor trips through 2020. El Salvadorans were sheltering in place, much like everyone else. We simply don't know when we'll visit again.
However, the Habitat group in El Salvador sent this wonderful video on 19 May 2020:

Our 10th annual trip was planned for Saturday, July 18, to Sunday, July 26. We had 7 people wanting to go, and were looking for 3 more people. A group of 10 means Thrivent will donate $8000 on our behalf to Habitat El Salvador. This is how we justify raising money for the airfare, which we intend to do with another Special Dinner and later, a concert by our very own Tatiana Shustova, classical pianist. Contact Dean Olson if you are interested at DeanLOlson@gmail.com.
Below, from the 2018 trip, Jim Hack looks on as his daughter-in-law, Lisa, reads to a local boy in Spanish, even though she does not speak Spanish. Douglas of Habitat El Salvador assists.
