El Salvador Mission Fund Family Fundraiser

Above is a photo of everyone in attendance at the Paint Like Me! party at Good Shepherd the night of June 6.  We all did well and had a very good time.  Every person above now has their own version of the image below.

This family event for ages 8 and up was hosted by Paint Like Me! from Mahomet.  We learned to create our own version of an El Salvador scene under the direction of professional artist Elizabeth VanHoutan McDermith.  All supplies were provided and we raised $150 for the El Salvador Trip!  We signed up here:

Our next visit to El Salvador is planned for Saturday, July 28, to Sunday, August 5, 2018.  To save on air fare, it would be best if 10 people would commit in early May.  So far, Jim Hack, Bob Clark, Dean Olson, Marilyn Dudley, and Pastor Tom intend to go, and Nicki Kyle plus one friend have expressed a very strong interest.  That’s 7 and counting, more than two-thirds the way to the magic number of 10 - the number where Thrivent kicks in $8000 to Habitat El Salvador!  Contact Dean for more information at DeanLOlson@gmail.com.
